The Art Appreciation Group welcomes art lovers of all backgrounds to explore and enjoy the richness of visual culture through thought-provoking monthly presentations at Harborne Baptist Church.

Artists that we have looked at this year include, Lucie Rie, Chaim Soutine, Caspar David Friedrich and Hokusai.  We have also had a presentation on The Depiction of Music in Art and one on the art of lino-cutting. We are looking forward to a watercolour painting demonstration by one of our group at Christmas.

With such a diverse and passionate membership, the range of topics is always unexpected and inspiring—every meeting offers a fresh perspective.
