The Coffee Morning people are still happy at the Green Man venue. We moved to the conservatory area a few months ago because more people were joining us, and the new area is quite spacious. The staff are very kind and always reserve the tables for us. I would estimate that at least 25 – 30 people are meeting each fortnight, not always the same faces but we do have some regulars who never miss. I’m pleased to say that we have seen several new faces this year, which is always nice.

We are basically a social group, we meet every other Monday to chat, but I think it is a helpful event for new members, and for people who haven’t made the decision to join U3A yet. The meeting affords the opportunity to meet other members, break the ice, and to find out what some of the groups are like – all in an informal setting, without any pressure.

But of course, we do enjoy chatting, drinking tea and coffee, making new friends, putting the world to right and often staying for lunch to make sure we’ve done it properly! There is no need to let anyone know, just turn up and you will be made welcome, especially if you are new to u3a and just getting to know everyone. Any questions, please get in touch
