GROUPS

What are groups and what do they do?
Our groups are at the heart of what we do and there are plenty of them. In each you will find members enthusiastically sharing a common activity, for example, Local History, Church Architecture, Dining Out, Gardening, Walking or Games.  Each group decides for itself what it wants to do, how it wants to do it and when it wants to meet.  Membership of each group is included in your annual subscription. You can join as many or as few as you like. You might want to continue to do something you already do or try something new.

If you are interested in joining a group please visit the relevant page (see the list from the Interest Groups button above) and click on Coordinator to contact the organiser. Whatever group you decide to join you will be among people who share your interests and your enthusiasm for living life to the full.

Group Coordinators
Each Interest group is headed by a Group Coordinator who has an interest in or knowledge of the group's chosen subject. The coordinator is responsible for facilitating the activities of the group. Group Coordinators Handbook

New Groups
If you have an idea for a new group please contact the Groups Secretary Tina Howard with your suggestions and she will help to promote your idea. The groups that have been recently suggested are here. Proposed New Groups.
