We are a friendly group with approximately 30 active members, meeting in Room 4 at the Quinborne Community Centre at 10.30 am on the 3rd or 4th Monday of alternate months. We are open to new members.
Visits to local places of interest take place on the intervening months, on Mondays where possible, depending on site opening hours.
Subjects of recent talks have been ‘The Back to Backs’, ‘Birmingham City Centre back in time’ and ‘The Rise and Fall of Whitley Court’.
Our visits have included, The Lockup" aka the West Midlands Police Museum and The Lapworth Museum of Geology at Birmingham University. Visits must be prebooked and paid for at the preceding meeting. Any enquiries can be referred to Gerri Draysey at Local History .

Monday 26 January. 'Rock around the Park', a talk by Dr Steve Watson.
Monday 30th March ''Like it or Loathe it', a talk on the brutalist architecture in Birmingham.
On 27 April the group travelled to Lichfield and visited the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum and also the Cathedral.
